SMR operates from a studio, in a separate building from my home. I treat one client at a time and have 15 minutes between sessions to be able to sanitize and prep for the next client. As such it has always been a very controlled sterile environment.

As a healthcare practitioner, the following always occur in my clinic:

• Hands washed before and after each treatment.

• Treatment table, instruments, pens, and headrest disinfected between sessions.

• Doorknobs and clinic waiting room surfaces disinfected several times a day.

• HEPA filtered ionized air system

 
Due to the increased risk of transmission, the following is now in place:

• Additional hand sanitizer at the entrance and toilet. Clients are required to sanitize hands before and after treatment.

• Pre-screened for COVID-19 the day before treatment, and again at the beginning of the session.

• Doorknobs and clinic waiting room surfaces disinfected between each session.

• Magazines and books in the waiting room have been removed to prevent cross-contamination (instead my children will be providing entertainment, via an Irish jig… not really, but if we don’t keep the humor what else are we left with!)

• Waiving the cancellation fee if you need to cancel on short notice due to illness.

• The slightest sign of illness I will be canceling my upcoming appointments as a precaution. Please check your phone before arriving, due to possible short notice.

• Water dispenser removed.
